Good Use: The Giving Community

Good Use is a free platform to locally give and receive goods.

We all have things to give—time, talent, and things we no longer use. Good Use lets you find the right person or organization who truly needs and appreciates those things.

Good Use is free and it’s easy to get started.

1. List the things you have to give.
2. Find people in your community or organizations who can put them to good use.
3. Give your things away to do good and feel good, all at once.

Instead of throwing away unused goods like furniture, pet equipment, clothes, toys and electronics, donate, Good Use lets you give it to an organization or someone who can put it to good use. List what you have to give or create a Wishlist for what you’d like to receive. Verification and communication is easy for every user and organization and all communication is done through the in-app chat so you’re protected and safe.

We all know giving is good, but giving feels good too. When you give, you help others, help the environment, and help yourself — all at the same time. You can only give things away at Good Use. No selling is allowed. Instead of trying to sell your things, find a person or organization who could really use it and pass it on! You’ll feel great; they’ll feel great; and together you’ll increase the world’s happiness bit by little bit.

Outside of giving and receiving goods, you’re connecting with nonprofits and people in your community. You’re throwing away less and creating less waste which only benefits the environment. Create sustainability with your friends and neighbors by exchanging your unused goods. You never know, you might even meet a neighbor and make a new friend through your local Good Use Community.
